Republicans democrats and the divide

I’ve not taken a position in the political field but I’ve figured something out about republicans and conservatives and some people in general.

The view that they have and the view that they support either ends or results in more compassion and love in the world or more cruelty and pain in the world.

I remember talking to this woman at the homeless shelter one day. I asked her why she did what she did. She said, when I moved to Los Angeles I saw the horrible lives of the homeless and I had a choice

presented to me by my mind, “ Do I help or do I grow callous and psychopathic?”

That is the crux of the difference between the republicans and the democrats. There are two people and they see someone homeless or hungry or in need and their response defines there entire political spectrum. When I see someone in pain or suffering do I help or figure out the problem or do I grow callous and blame them as if they were gods choosing to suffer rather then men harmed by other men?

It’s more complicated than that by two or three levels. They have to determine if the person could get themselves out of the situation. And then they have to decide if they want to empathize with the person. It’s a windy road but not too deep.

“Should I care or do anything or should I be indifferent?”

But here’s the thing. The difference between my view and yours.

I want there to be more love and compassion and support in the word. I want there to be solidarity and abundance.

The are others who want and whose views will create more pain, suffering amd cruelty in the world. When you tell them this they usually say, “I got mine I don’t give a fuck about anyone else”

And there’s everything and every scale and point in between. I didn’t understand something’s and I’ve been there (sort of -the not understanding part).

But that’s what you as a person have to look at. Will my views cause more harm, cruelty and suffering in the world? And be open to learn.

A quick example is school lunches. Why people are against them is insane. Without them kids starve. There’s more pain in the world. With them there is more joy and peace in the world.

When it comes down to it, some people are ignorant, some are uneducated and some are simply cruel. They have no excuse but that at this point in time they are cruel or broken. I don’t judge or try not to but thats where we are at.
