You were born to do farming or hunting or other menial tasks. You weren’t born for this sadistic victim-blaming society. But often and not recently, but for hundreds of years, you’ve been blamed for faults in society. If you aren’t doing these specific steps often people blame the individual. But you’re not free if someone else determines what you have to do.
There was no one with mental illness 200 years ago. Albus who can’t read or write but can plow a field was accepted into society no questions asked. He didn’t understand everything but he could do one job really really well. We lost that.
The psychotic people who don’t care if you live or die or are happy they think that someone chooses to be poor or homeless. Those people that believe that are stupid.
If you’re struggling, you’re not stupid they are.
You were born after the game of monopoly has been going on for 100s of years. And you are getting screwed by first come first serve society. You didn’t do anything wrong. You were born in to a world that still has fuedalistic laws and practices where some people rule over other people (with rulers and servants) and states enforce it. You don’t believe me? Who do you pay rent to? Who takes what you’ve earned every month? It’s right in the name. We still have LAND LORDS, lords of land that take what you make. And the societies don’t prevent that.
Because our societies operate like the game of monopoly, people are in horrible poverty and homelessness and not because of anything they’ve done. They are not poor because of anything they’ve done. They are poor or homeless simply because they were born later, after the game has been going on for a while. They are poor or homeless simply because they’ve been born later than you. They didn’t do anything wrong. They were born later and that’s all. The only fair thing is to give them a fair share of the commons and to let people settle on land and provide a UBI as renumeration for the loss of the commons as a payment for the externalities caused by the massive inequality, racism, sexism, genocide, corruption, habitat destruction, habitat theft, colonialism, and basically all of the flaws of modern societies.
The cause of poverty and homelessness is caused by societies that fail to address issues when going from a state of nature to a civilized state. The society is at fault not the people. And a negligent society creates negligent people.
